The construction of CMI Carmel School was started on 16th October, 2010 with the blessing of the foundation stone by Most Rev. Peter K. Atuahene, the Catholic Bishop of Goaso and the foundation stone was laid by Rev. Fr. Varghese Vithayathil CMI, Provincial Superior of CMI Fathers in Ghana.
The school was blessed and inaugurated on 22nd October, 2011 by Most Rev. Peter K. Atuahene and Rev. Fr. Varghese Vithayathil CMI respectively.
The school was started in the academic year 2011-2012 with 40 Kindergarten 1 children and two teachers.
At present, the school has 831 students with 55 staff. The school is now upto JHS 3. The first batch of the school would write their BECE (Basic Education Certificate Examination) 2022.
The school is a situated in a serene and conducive environment to promote holistic development of a student.
The St. John of God, quasi parish was entrusted to CMIS on 1st November, 2017. The quasi parish includes St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Old Brosankro, St. Augustine Catholic Church, Onwe Nkwanta and St. Paul's Catholic Church, Biokrom. Fr. Jomi Pathikulangara CMI was appointed and installed as the first parish priest on 14th January, 2018. Priest In charge: Fr. Jomi Antony CMI (2018-)
